Keeping lawn care customers informed about their visits
Updated October 22, 2026 · For lawn care and turf spray companies
Lawn care customers often aren’t home when you visit. If they can’t tell whether you came, they call, or worse, assume you didn’t and cancel. Showing them the schedule answers that before they pick up the phone.
Show upcoming and recent visits
A simple page per property listing what’s coming next and what was done recently answers most questions. Keep internal notes like gate codes and chemical details for your crew off it.
Explain delays
If a treatment is held for wind or rain, say so on the page. Customers are understanding when they see the reason; they’re not when the visit just doesn’t happen.
Leave something on site
For treatments, many companies leave a door hanger or a yard flag after the visit. It confirms the visit and tells the household when it’s safe to use the lawn according to the product label.
Notification rules
Some states and towns have rules about notifying residents or neighbors before pesticide applications, and some keep registries of people who must be notified. Check your local requirements; a visit page is a convenience, not a substitute for required notices.
